Cardiac Risk in the Young

Every week in the UK at least 12 young people (aged 35 and under) die of undiagnosed heart conditions. Since its formation in 1995, Cardiac Risk in the Young (CRY) has been working to reduce the frequency of young sudden cardiac death (YSCD). CRY supports young people diagnosed with potentially life-threatening cardiac conditions and offers bereavement support to families affected by YSCD. CRY’s pioneering screening programme now tests around 23,000 young people every year in the UK. The charity also funds an internationally acclaimed programme of medical research.

A gift in a will would enable the charity to support more families affected, screen even more young people and further its research and understanding of those conditions that cause young sudden cardiac death. With every legacy pledged, CRY can help save more young lives.
