Caring for families who have a child with a life threatening or terminal illness

Today there are an estimated 49,000 children and young people in the UK living with a life limiting or life threatening condition. Many of these families are struggling to cope and have to face the very real possibility that their child may die.

Our expert Family Support Workers provide a lifeline to these families and children. They bring support and help to families who so desperately need it at home, in hospital and in the community. Any family can receive support from the moment of their child’s diagnosis.

Our vision has always been to provide every family who has a child with a life threatening or terminal illness with access to a Rainbow Trust carer. A gift in your will would make a huge different to the lives of the families we support.
