For over 30 years St Raphael’s Hospice has been providing exceptional hospice care for people in Merton and Sutton at no charge. With the help of our skilled staff and dedicated volunteers, we are able to meet the individual needs of our patients, as well as those of their family and friends before and after death. We are there for everyone who needs us at the most difficult time of their lives to provide emotional support, not just for the relief of pain. We care for patients wherever and whenever they need us. We believe that hospice care is about life and living, not just death and dying.
The Hospice needs £6 million a year to run, relying heavily on public donations, legacies and fundraising to keep going. Thanks to the generosity of the public, we are able to make an enormous difference to the lives of 1,000 terminally-ill patients every year. We are not state-funded, even though every one of our patients is a NHS patient. We only receive 25% of our costs from the NHS and the remainder, more than £4 million per year, we need to raise ourselves.
By leaving a gift in your Will, you can help the Hospice to continue serving the community for generations to come. No matter how large or small your gift is, you will be directly contributing to the continued work of the Hospice and touching lives through the care and support we provide, allowing patients to spend their final days with dignity and in comfort.
Thank you
