A staggering one in two of us will develop cancer during our lives. Yet around 40% of cancer cases are preventable. That’s around 145,000 cases in the UK alone every year that could be prevented through our lifestyle choices.

For the past 30 years WORLD CANCER RESEARCH FUND has been a pioneer in vital worldwide scientific research into the links between our lifestyles and cancer prevention. Demonstrating that eating a healthy diet, being active each day and maintaining a healthy weight are, after not smoking, the most important ways to reduce the risk of cancer for you and your family.

We are working towards a day when no-one develops or dies from a preventable cancer, but there is so much more we need to do.
We receive no UK government funding and so this innovative work is only possible through the generosity of people like you.
