Child’s i Foundation join The Goodwill Partnership

In Uganda, 50,000 children are growing up in orphanages. Nearly all have family. Orphanages make orphans out of children.

Every day, families in crisis or poverty are forced to give up their children in the hope of a better life. Decades of research prove what we know in our hearts: a family is the best place for a child to grow up.

Child’s i Foundation helps reunite children with their own families where possible and finds loving, Ugandan adoptive or foster families where the child’s own family cannot be found or is unsafe. The charity help repurpose orphanages into community hub centres that provide services that prevent family separation in the first place.

By joining The Goodwill Partnership, Child’s I Foundation can offer their supporters and volunteers a best-practice, low-cost, home-visit, solicitor provided Will writing service which will allow the supporter to leave a gift in their Will to the charity, although there is no obligation to do so.

Lucy Buck, Founder and CEO of Child’s I Foundation, says: “We are very excited to be joining The Goodwill Partnership to give our supporters an opportunity to make or amend their Will at the comfort of their home. Writing a Will can be a very empowering step in one’s life and we look forward to starting conversations with our supporters about it. We hope that by introducing a new way of giving, we will be able to reach and support even more families and ensure that children grow up in safe and loving homes.”

Mark Jackson, Co-Founder of The Goodwill Partnership, says: “We are very excited to be joining The Goodwill Partnership to give our supporters an opportunity to make or amend their Will at the comfort of their home”.
