Dog A.I.D. joins The Goodwill Partnership

With immediate effect Dog A.I.D. joins The Goodwill Partnership to offer a home visit, best practice, Will writing service to its supporters and volunteers.

Dog A.I.D. is a registered charity and is accredited to Assistance Dogs UK and Assistance Dogs International and Assistance Dogs Europe. Dog A.I.D. provide personal dog training for people with physical disabilities to help them train their own dog to Assistance Dog Level, where appropriate.

An approved personal dog trainer is paired with a client who is then coached to train their own dog using modern, safe reward-based methods of dog training. The training usually takes place at the client’s home and in their local environment. Using the bond which already exists between the client and their dog, the trainer is able to leave them to practice what they have learned until the next appointment.

With no financial assistance form the Government, Dog A.I.D. rely totally on fundraising activities, donations and legacies. A gift left in a Will can help to increase the national coverage of the charity and therefore minimise waiting time. By partnering with The Goodwill Partnership, Dog A.I.D. can offer their supporters a Will writing service that will give them the opportunity to leave a gift in their Will, although there is no obligation to do so.

Announcing the partnership, Dog A.I.D.’s Mike McDonald said “We are delighted to work with our friends at The Goodwill Partnership to offer supporters an easy way to execute a will from the comfort of their own home and, hopefully, consider leaving a lasting legacy gift to our charity. It is only through the generosity of our supporters that Dog Assistance in Disability is able to continue to provide its life-changing services to people with disabilities throughout the UK. We are equally delighted that our supporters will benefit from a company who are aligned to our own best practice values.”

Mark Jackson, Co-Founder of The Goodwill Partnership, says: “We are pleased to team up with Dog A.I.D. and hope that our service proves to be another invaluable source of income for their vital services”.
