21 Jun Embrace the Middle East join The Goodwill Partnership
The Goodwill Partnership and Embrace the Middle East have teamed up to offer best practice, home visit, Will-writing services to its supporters and volunteers.
Embrace the Middle East is a Christian charity, originally set up in 1854, to help people of all faiths and none to free themselves from a life of poverty and injustice. Together with local Christian communities, Embrace bring lasting change to the Middle East through healthcare, education and community development projects.
Faith in Action is Embrace’s strategy that outlines how they will build stronger relationships with their Christian partners, expand into new countries, help disadvantaged people, challenge poverty and injustice and inspire churches, volunteers and supporters to join them to:
Transform the lives of vulnerable and marginalised people across the Middle East
Strengthen and encourage Middle East Christians as they bring about positive change in their communities
Challenge injustice, poverty and exclusions in the Middle East through targeted advocacy and campaigning.
Legacy gifts make a huge difference to the work of Embrace with 1 in 4 of the projects funded by the charity only being possible due to gifts left in wills. By joining The Goodwill Partnership, Embrace can offer their supporters and volunteers, low cost, home-visit, best practice, solicitor provided Wills enabling them to leave a legacy gift to the charity although there is no obligation to do so.
Charlotte Devereux, Embrace’s Legacy Manager explains, ‘Leaving a Legacy gift to Embrace in your will makes a real and lasting difference to people across the Middle East. Making a will is so important, to ensure your wishes are fully carried out.
‘Many people can be a little daunted and think that writing a will is complicated – but it doesn’t have to be! Writing a will (and considering if leaving a legacy gift is right for you) is a simple step. By joining together with the Goodwill Partnership we are able to offer a straightforward and affordable option to our supporters when it comes to the mechanics of writing a will. We are delighted to have this opportunity to do just that!’
Mark Jackson, Co-Founder of The Goodwill Partnership says, “We are delighted to welcome Embrace to The Goodwill Partnership and hope that our service proves to be a valuable source of income”.
