05 Dec Hospiscare joins The Goodwill Partnership
Hospiscare, an Exeter based independent local charity, joins The Goodwill Partnership with immediate effect.
Hospiscare was formed in 1982 with two community nurses and the hospice was opened in 1992. Today the charity provides high quality care and support to people with a progressive life-limiting illness and those close to them, living in Exeter, East and Mid Devon.
Hospiscare now have 3 centres and a team of specialist nurses who work in the community visiting people in their own homes, community hospitals, residential and nursing homes. Last year alone they cared for 2,225 patients, their families and loved ones. Nurses and assistant practitioners offer specialist advice and support every day of the year, a telephone advice line is open 24 hours a day.
A fifth of everything that is done by Hospiscare is made possible by gifts in Wills. By partnering with The Goodwill Partnership to offer low cost, best practice, solicitor provided Wills to their supporters and volunteers, it is hoped this will be another source of income to continue their vital services.
Elizabeth Bevan, Hospsicare’s Legacy Gift Administrator commented “A gift in your Will is such a powerful and lasting way to make a difference to a cause you really care about. Teaming up with the Goodwill Partnership enables us to offer supporters a simple Will writing service. You don’t even have to leave your house as they come to you. We are so grateful for the gifts we receive from Wills, if you decided to support our work in this way, thank you”.
Mark Jackson, Co-Founder of The Goodwill Partnership, says: “We are delighted to be partnering with Hospiscare and it is a privilege to be helping them raise additional legacy funds for their invaluable work”.
