01 Nov Jewish Care joins The Goodwill Partnership

Jewish Care, the largest provider of health and social care services for the Jewish community in the UK has joined The Goodwill Partnership with immediate effect.

Every week, Jewish Care touches the lives of 10,000 people, providing a wide range of services for older people, people with disabilities, mental health needs, visual impairment, as well as Holocaust survivors and refugees. Jewish Care also offers support and guidance to families, carers and the bereaved, as well as educational, recreational and cultural programmes for children, young people and adults. The organisation employs a team of 1,400 professional staff.

It is the ‘Jewish’ in Jewish Care that sets this charity apart from other care providers. Jewish Care and the UK Jewish Community go hand in hand. The charity provides much needed services open to everyone in the community regardless of their financial situation. In return over 3,000 people volunteer their time to Jewish Care every year. Without the generous support provided by individuals and families across the community Jewish Care would not be able to keep the doors of its services open.

Each year Jewish Care needs to raise £15million just to keep its services operating. Over a quarter of these funds come from legacies. In addition to this the organisation has an ambitious development programme to ensure it can meet both current and future needs and aspirations of this ageing community. Much of this development programme, totally £100m over the past 10, years has been funded thanks to gifts in Wills.
