02 Feb TGP and Book Aid International partner to offer Will-writing services
London, Feb 1st 2016: The UK’s leading Will-writing service for charities’ supporters, The Goodwill Partnership, is delighted to announce that it is partnering with Book Aid International with immediate effect.
Book Aid International works in partnership with libraries across sub-Saharan Africa, providing new books, resources and training to support an environment in which reading for pleasure, study and lifelong learning can flourish.
Every year, Book Aid International provides up to one million new books, donated by UK publishers, to libraries. They also provide training for librarians to ensure that readers get the very best from their donated books, and grants for purchasing locally-published books and for library refurbishments. The charity’s vision is of vibrant libraries that inspire readers and empower communities.
Starting immediately, The Goodwill Partnership will offer will-writing services to the charity’s supporters and volunteers. There is no obligation for anyone using the service to leave a gift to Book Aid International in their Will, but it is hoped that the initiative will help raise additional funds for Book Aid International’s programmes.
David Lacey, Individual Giving Manager at Book Aid International, says: “With an increasing number of our supporters choosing to include a gift to Book Aid International in their Will, we are always looking at ways to make the process of Will-writing as easy as possible. We’re therefore delighted to announce our partnership with The Goodwill Partnership.
By leaving a gift to Book Aid International, supporters are ensuring that we can continue to ship up to one million books a year to sub-Saharan Africa and encourage a culture of reading and learning from the earliest age, the benefits of which will be felt for generations to come.”
Mark Jackson, Co-Founder of The Goodwill Partnership, says: “Book Aid International is a tremendously inspiring charity and we’re very pleased to be partnering with them. We can’t think of a better way to start 2016 and celebrate our own organisation’s seventh birthday!”
