Wellbeing of Women join The Goodwill Partnership

The Goodwill Partnership are delighted to be partnering with Wellbeing of Women with immediate effect to offer home visit, best practice, solicitor provided Wills to its supporters and volunteers.

Wellbeing of Women is a small yet remarkable charity that champions women’s health by investing in pioneering research to find cures and treatments across the breadth of reproductive health and childbirth.

Their very first grant discovered the importance of taking folic acid in pregnancy. Other research breakthroughs include work that led to the HPV vaccination to prevent cervical cancer, fetal monitoring and antenatal diagnosis of conditions such as Down’s Syndrome and the pioneering use of CyberKnife technology – targeted radiotherapy – to treat gynaecological cancers. Most recently, a project testing a drug for womb cancer had such positive results it is now in clinical trials and is hoped the drug will soon be actively saving the lives of countless women.

Through its link up with The Goodwill Partnership, the service will allow Wellbeing of Women to generate legacy donations, plan with more financial certainty, as well as offering its supporters a low cost, solicitor provided Will.

Tina Weaver, CEO for Wellbeing of Women said: “We all come from the womb, and yet research into ensuring women have safe deliveries and healthy babies is vastly underfunded and overlooked. Below the waist health problems from gynaecological cancers to incontinence are too often regarded as embarrassing and are taboo areas.

Wellbeing of Women exists to focus on finding better treatment and cures in reproductive health and childbirth so mums can deliver healthy babies and live healthy lives. We are immensely grateful to all those who are able to leave a gift to help fund our research and to the Goodwill Partnership for all their support.”

Mark Jackson, Co-Founder of The Goodwill Partnership says, “We are delighted to be partnering with Wellbeing of Women and hope that our service proves to be another invaluable source of income for their vital services and research.”
