29 Aug YoungMinds joins The Goodwill Partnership

YoungMinds, the UK’s leading charity committed to improving the wellbeing and mental health of children and young people, has joined The Goodwill Partnership with immediate effect.

Founded in 1993, YoungMinds champions children and young people’s mental health and wellbeing across the UK. Approximately 850,000 children suffer from a diagnosable mental health problem such as depression or anxiety and many suffer in silence because of the stigma surrounding mental health. The consequences of mental health problems in children can be devastating and long term, with more than half of mental health problems first appearing in children before the age of 14.

The work of YoungMinds involves working alongside young people to campaign, research, influence, change policy and practice and initiate pioneering innovative projects. The charity also provides expert knowledge about mental health to young people, parents and professionals through their Parents Helpline, online resources, training and youth engagement programmes.

By joining The Goodwill Partnership, YoungMinds can offer their supporters and volunteers, low cost, home-visit, best practice, solicitor provided Wills enabling them to leave a legacy if they so desire.

Diane Gault, Director of Fundraising for YoungMinds, said: “Far too many of our children and young people are struggling to cope with their mental health problems and it can be really hard for them to get the support they need. That’s why we are so grateful to everyone who is able to leave a gift to help fund our work, as well as to the Goodwill Partnership for the support they will provide.”
